StringzShady was born in Biu, Borno State North-East Nigeria. He holds a bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and an MBA from the prestigious Ahmadu Belo University, Zaria. He is a project manager, banker, singer, songwriter and performer who fuses story telling in Afro-folk music with contemporary Arewa styles. He plays the acoustic guitar as well.
His involvement in performing arts was brought to fore in 2002 when he starred in a stage play titled “MR. PROFESSOR” produced by Final Year Theatre and Performing Art Students of ABU.
His outstanding performance at the Drama Village earned him the privilege to perform for Her Majesty The late Queen Elizabeth II of England at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Abuja on Friday 5 December 2003.
He has also featured in many events as guest music performer such as the third edition of Kaduna Book and Arts Festival (KABAFEST) which held in September 2019, where he performed two of his works – “FATIMA” and “WASILA”, the Yasmin El-Rufai Foundation (YELF) Literary Evening, as well as the maiden edition of the Hausa International Book and Arts Festival (HIBAF) which held in October 2021, where he performed his original titled “TANTABARA SONG”.
A strong believer in growing northern Nigeria through poetry and music, StringzShady is currently recording his debut album and lives in Lagos.
