Josiah Japheth Bityong is a dynamic event host, MC, film journalist, podcaster, and on-air personality with a deep passion for the Nigerian film industry, particularly its connection to Northern Nigeria. With a keen eye for storytelling and industry trends, he has positioned himself as a critical voice in Nollywood discourse, bridging conversations between filmmakers, audiences, and cultural narratives.

He is the host of Nollywood Bants, an audio-Visual film podcast where he discusses industry developments, storytelling techniques, and the evolving nature of Nigerian Film Ecosystem. His work extends beyond Nollywood Bants, his writing as a film journalist include his article, “Dear Nollywood, The Northerners Are (Actually) Watching,” sparked important conversations about Northern Nigeria’s engagement with Nollywood and the need for more inclusive storytelling. Additionally, he serves as the Community Manager for Nollywire, a leading platform dedicated to amplifying Nollywood’s reach and impact.

Josiah is a Nollywood Fellow (2023 Cohort) and currently works as a broadcast Journalist with Royal 93.3 FM Kaduna.
